International Relations of IPPM RAS

IPPM RAS' international cooperation is one of the most important activities of the Institute. The international relations are managed by the Department of International Relations. They are also under control of general management of the Institute and the Foreign Relations Department of RAS. International cooperation of IPPM RAS is growing with a nomenclature of IPPM RAS’ basic scientific directions.

The growth of IPPM RAS international relations is based on obtaining of advanced scientific experience through cooperation with scientists whose achievements in microelectronic systems and CAD tools development have global recognition as well as based on the Institute participation in international scientific programs with leading universities and companies.
In this areas IPPM RAS has cooperated with leading scientists from:

IPPM RAS is one of the sponsors and organizers of the leading conference on the hardware and software design, test and manufacturing of electronic circuits and systems: DATE (Design Automation and Test in Europe).

From 1992nd, IPPM RAS was one of the founders of Euro-DAC Conference, which was merged with another famous European conference and exhibition ED&TC on 7 March, 1997 basing on joint decision of the conferences founders. New joint European Forum has got the name "DATE" (Design, Automation and Test in Europe). Brief reports (in Russian) about previous conferences can be found in section «DATE» of this web-site.

From 2005th, IPPM RAS is the main organizer of All-Russia Science & Technology Conference "Problems of Advanced Micro- and Nanoelectronic Systems Development" (MES) which is held with participation of foreign scientists. Between other scientific international events where IPPM RAS has actively participated, it would be desirable to mention:

  • International Conferences “Mathematical and Informational Technologies” (MIT).
  • International Conferences «Computer-Aided Design of Discrete Devices – CAD DD».
  • International Workshop on Design Automation (RUSSIAN WORKSHOP).
  • «European Scientists' Cooperation in the areas of Science, Technology and Education» Workshop was founded by the Commission of the European Communities, IPPM RAS, IFIP TC10, Department of Nanotechnologies and Informatics of RAS, Moscow Chapter of ACM/SIGDA, Telecom AO, Committee for Informatics at the President of the Russian Federation and other organizations.
  • The International Workshops on Power and Timing Modeling, Optimization and Simulation (PATMOS).
  • International Conference for Solid-State Photonics, Optoelectronics and Photoreceivers Design Methodology, Czech Republic.
  • ASP-DAC (Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference).

A number of IPPM RAS employees are the members of following scientific associations and the organizations:

  • IEEE - Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers;
  • IFIP WG 10.5 - International Federation for Information Processing, Working Group 10.5;
  • EDAA - European Design and Automation Association;

IPPM TAS takes part in a program on creation of Science, Innovations & Education IT Center at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology Skoltech.Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Texas University are participants of this international Scientific Center from the United States. Research Computing Center at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Institute of Numerical Mathematics of RAS and IPPM RAS are Russian participants. In the framework of the Center IPPM RAS is responsible for development of new methods for computer computer-aided circuit design.
